Appearance Code/Uniform PolicyThe appearance of a student is the responsibility of the student and the parents. We expect students to maintain an appearance that does not distract teachers or other students nor draw undue attention or in any way disrupt the instructional program of the school. In order to help our children grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, St. Paul Lutheran School wishes to reduce the importance of expensive apparel and accessories and stress the importance of the inherent worth of each individual child. It is important that a child is accepted as a unique child of God rather than being accepted based on the cost or type of his/her clothing. By reducing the importance of clothing, we can keep the child's focus on his/her studies and training and therefore strengthen his/her self-worth as a "Child of God." Uniforms create a "Spirit of Unity" and easily identify the children as members of St. Paul Lutheran School to the community. A copy of the Dress Code Handbook is available in the school office and online. |
