Extra Curricular EligibilityStudents must maintain a 70% or better grade average in each subject (E, S, or N in non-percentage classes) in order to participate in any extra curricular activity. When a child is ineligible, he or she does not practice or play. This average must be maintained for the term and the year to allow participation. The term of eligibility begins and/or ends the day grade reports are recorded. Students remain ineligible for a two week period after midterm grades have been recorded. If grades are at or above 70% after the two week period, a student may regain eligibility. If not, the student is ineligible until the next grading period report. Eligibility may be regained or lost as a result of the midterm progress report as well as the term report card. Incompletes may lead to ineligibility. Eligibility is not carried over from one year to the next. |
