SPLS News to Know NEWS ITEMS: NEW FAMILY ENROLLEMENT – New Families may submit enrollment forms beginning Wednesday, February 1st. All may gather in the New Life Center from 7:30-8:30 A.M. after which registration will be moved into the school office. CONGRATULATIONS – to our 5th and 6th grade boys’ basketball team! Not only did they finish the season 12-1, but they won the District I Tournament Championship last Thursday! Thank you to Coach Aaron McCamant and Coach Mark Selking for all of their hard work and time. (Both are St. Paul Alumni). GRANDPARENTS’ DAY – Our 3rd annual Grandparents’ Day will be held on Friday, March 9th, from 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. Invitations and more information will be coming soon! ______________________________________________________________ UPCOMING EVENTS AND QUICK LINKS: A.R. CHALLENGE – The A. R. Challenge began on Monday, January 27th and will last through March 9th. Encourage your 2nd-8th grader to read and earn points for his or her classroom. We compete nationwide against other Lutheran Schools for the highest average number of points per student. MID-TERM – Friday, February 3rd JAM – Get in the game on Friday, February 3rd from 7:00-9:00 P.M. in the DOCK. Wear your favorite team jersey and join us for fun, games, and JESUS! SINGING – All children in grades k-5 will be singing on Sunday, February 5th in the Fellowship service. SPS MEETING – Please come join your friends and meet new friends at the February SPS meeting! Friday, February 10th at 8:30 in the lunchroom. The agenda includes the March book fair, Grandparents’ Day, and Lutheran Schools’ week.Also, please note that the March SPS date has changed to Friday, March 2nd. STRINGS – The St. Paul Strings will play in the 11:00 A.M. Service in the New Life Center. SEDER MEAL – Middle School Families: the St. Paul Seder Meal is Wednesday, February 15th. This is a high school youth event in conjuction with the youth at Como Missionary Baptist Church to rehabilitate houses in the Fort Worth are, June 17th-22nd.
