IMPORTANT CONSTRUCTION UPDATE – The eastbound I-30 exit ramp to Forest park Boulevard will permanently close at 9:00 A.M. on May 6th. This is needed as a part of the reconfiguration of I-30 and the construction of the CTP. DETOUR: Motorists will be directed to take the Rosedale Street exit to Forest Park Boulevard.

EXCEL—Excel ENRICH (3rd & 4th Grades) and Excel Writing Club (5th & 6th Grades) members, parents and teachers are invited to a special Open House on Monday, May 13th, 2013. It will take place from 6:30-7:30 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall

DONATIONS REQUESTED—do you have loose or rolled ribbons from old craft projects and other ventures that you no longer need? Send them to the school office for the Art Room!

WEE PRAISE –Join the fun! Wee Praise will be presented by the St. Paul PK-2nd Graders on Thursday, May 16th at 10:00 A.M. & 6:30 P.M. in the New Life Center.

AUCTION UPDATE—additional donations have come in and our total amount is now at $36,000! Praise God! If you would like to be a part of the planning committee for next year’s fun event, please contact Amy Kaarlela at amykaarlela@prodigy.net

FINE ARTS CAMP DONATIONS—our Recycled Art Class is looking for donations for “found object sculptures.” These items should be small and able to be glued to a piece of plywood, or other hard object (thus, large or heavy objects may not work). Please see the picture below for inspiration:

 

SAVE THE DATE – Vacation Bible School is coming: Downtown—June 10-14  The Summit—July 9-11 Watch for registration coming soon!

CAN YOU DONATE A TIE?—Kids Hope is hosting all Daggett 5th graders for a special lunch and presentation on May 28th. We are going to teach the boys how to tie a tie. We are seeking to get 62 ties donated by May 14th.Ties may be left at the Welcome Center.

BOGO BOOK FAIR—The School’s BOGO Book Fair will be held May 21st-23rd in the Welcome Center. The scholastic Summer Reading Challenge will also be available! This is your chance to stock up for your summer reading. Visit our website for shopping and to log your summer reading hours: CLICK HERE

COOL WATER—is coming this summer! Cool Water Tour 2013 will be August 5-7. This event is for all INCOMING 6th, 7th, & 8th graders.

CONFIRMATION BANQUET – Confirmands and their parents are invited to celebrate this special occasion on Wednesday, May 15th, hosted by LWML and the confirmation class of 2012.
