Sunday Morning Adult Discipleship Opportunities Lifeworks How life works in the 45-65 season, with insights and encouragement from the Bible and a team of facilitators. We are working together on ways we can keep growing personally, living life to its fullest. The things God is teaching us are not just for us - but are simple terms that we can share with other people. Who is it that God is calling you to encourage? Newly Married For newly married couples 6 years or less (or for those who still feel like they've been married 6 years or less!). Dating and engaged couples are invited as well! Join other couples in your life stage as we dive into God's Word together. Led by Van and Judy Austin, Paul Marsh, and Robert and Julie Norris. Meets in Classroom A-50, upper level. Serve: Finding Your Place Welcome to "Finding Your Place," a class designed to help each member of the Body of Christ to recognize that God has called them, that God has qualified them in a unique way, and that God has a place in ministry for them. Come to the "Finding Your Place" class and find out how God has equipped you and how you might use your gifts to magnify God's glory. Led by Brian and Nikki Cheek and Phil Davis. Parenting Your Teenager In this parenting class the authors, Les and Leslie Parrot, always work from the premise that it is not so much what you do but who you are as a parent. Are you authentic, caring, concerned? Do you love unconditionally? We will address specific issues that most teens face. We will also cover Identity, Turmoil, Rebellion, Legacy, and Discipling Your Teenager. Led by Greg and Kathy Walstons and a team of facilitators. Meets in Classroom A-58, upper level. True Faced (for women only) Attention women of all ages! How can we go from habits of keeping up appearances to learning to trust God and living honestly and openly with our failures? This book will elad you from teh dead end of "good intentions" to the open road of "grace." Led by Judy Droguett. Meets in the School Library, lower level. Faith Foundations: Surprised By Hope (Rethinking Heaven, The Resurrection, and the Mission of the Church) For years Christians have been asking, "If you died tonight, do you know where you would go?" It turns out that many believers have been giving the wrong answer. Join us as we take a closer look at what we believe about Heaven and what it means for the church. We will explore our expectations of the new heaven and the new earth. Prepare to be challenged, comforted, and surprised by the hope that we have in Christ. Led by Pastor Danner. Learn: God's Top Ten List for Advancing Spiritual Growth This is a great class to learn about different practices you can incorporate into your life to grow in your faith. Spiritual practices and disciplines include things like prayer, developing spiritual friendships, and reflecting on scripture. This class is meant to introduce you to (or remind you of) ten important practices that you should work to incorporate into your life and relationship with God. Meets at Summit-Aledo at 9:15 AM. |
